Our April 15th meeting covered a lot of ground.
At the top of the agenda: Eli Savit advanced in his campaign for Michigan Attorney General at the Michigan Democratic Convention in Detroit on April 13th. That outcome reflects what sustained community organizing looks like in practice.
From the national landscape, we covered King County, Washington, where the County Council voted on March 24th to deprioritize personal entheogen use. It follows the same city-by-city, grassroots-first model we are building across Michigan.
We also recapped Hash Bash, one of our first major public events, where volunteers staffed tables and introduced hundreds of people to the cause. Cannabis activist Jamie Lowell joined as our guest speaker and led a wide-ranging conversation on strategy, history, and what community-driven reform actually requires.
